Aden|Taiz – February 2026
The Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) officially launched the inception workshops for the "Enhancing the Economic and Social Empowerment of Women and Youth in Aden and Taiz Governorates" project. The events were attended by representatives of local authorities and civil society organizations in both governorates. The project aims to create sustainable change in the lives of the target groups by equipping them with the vocational and technical skills required to access the labor market and launch their own businesses, while simultaneously enhancing their capacity for active social participation and community leadership.
The inception workshops, held in Aden and concluded in Taiz, focused on coordinating efforts with relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the project’s economic and social empowerment goals. The program seeks to transform the potential of youth and women into productive tools that contribute to local economic stability. This project is funded by the European Union in Yemen and implemented in partnership with ZOA Organization, as part of a strategic vision to improve livelihoods and build the capacity of local communities to face current challenges and achieve a more stable and prosperous future.
