Within the framework of strengthening strategic partnerships and monitoring field-level operations, the Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) welcomed to its headquarters last Thursday Mr. Sumit Shah, Country Director of the War Child Alliance in Yemen, and Ms. Nawal Dubais, Program Development and Quality Advisor.
The visit aimed to closely observe the progress of activities and the latest updates regarding the "Empowering Yemeni Young Women and Adolescent Girls Through Access to the Digital Economy" Project in Al-Mukalla District, Hadhramaut. This initiative is implemented by the Foundation with generous funding from the European Union, in partnership with the War Child Alliance, and in coordination with Hadhramout University.
During the visit, an expanded meeting was held with the Foundation's project team, featuring a comprehensive review of the major achievements and advanced steps accomplished by the project so far. The meeting also discussed ongoing field challenges and practical solutions to address them, ensuring work continuity and maximizing the sustainable impact of the activities. For his part, Mr. Sumit Shah praised the outstanding efforts made by the work team, commending the high level of execution and excellence in implementing activities that directly contribute to opening new horizons for young women in the digital labor market.
This visit underscores the depth of joint coordination and the continuous commitment shared between the Foundation and its partners to deliver the best possible support for youth and girls in Yemen.
