Under the auspices of the President of Hadramout University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, the introductory forum on "Integrated Pathways to the Digital Economy" concluded in Mukalla, Hadramout. The forum focused on aligning technical training with the requirements of the labor market and freelancing opportunities.
The event showcased mechanisms for strategic partnership and networking among stakeholders in the digital economy sector. Participants engaged in extensive discussions regarding current challenges, potential solutions, and lessons learned from previous digital empowerment initiatives. The forum saw high-level participation from local authorities, including Ms. Rasha bin Hamel, Director General of the Youth Support Fund, and Mr. Mohsen Salem Al-Jafri, Head of Community Committees in Mukalla District. Attendees also included representatives from Hadramout University, business entrepreneurship consultants, software companies, and Islamic microfinance banks.
This forum is part of the "Empowering Yemeni Young Women and Adolescent Girls through Access to the Digital Economy" project, funded by the European Union in Yemen and implemented in partnership with the War Child Alliance. The project is executed by the Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) in cooperation with the Foresight Office for Consultancy and Development and in coordination with Hadramout University.
